What is Fencing and is it for me?

Its Fun, Athletic, Challenging .... and SUPER COOL FUN!

Modern fencing is more than just sword fighting. Fencing is a sport that has been called "Chess at 100 miles per hour" and "Chess with muscles". From these descriptions, it is obvious fencing engages not only the body but the mind as well.
  • Fencing can be a good workout and help develop coordination, flexibility and quickness.
  • Fencing can help rekindle the competitive spirit in a sport where salutes and handshakes are part of the tradition.
  • Fencing can be learned and enjoyed by people of all ages.
  • Fencing is fun!
"I consider fencing to be a great art which raises men to be Knights in their thoughts and behavior. Fencing is a school of Humility and develops speed, perfect control of the body, balance, beauty and strong grace. It should be recommended to men wanting to master their feelings and actions during their lifetime. Through this art they will think clearly and act always with style in their decisions." Marcel Marceau
